The Minimum Capital Amounts for Joint Stock and Limited Liability Companies are being Increased as of January 1st, 2024

Pursuant to the Presidential Decree dated 24/11/2023 and numbered 7887 (“Decree”) which has published with the Official Gazette dated 25 November 2023 and numbered 32380, it has been regulated that the minimum capital amounts for joint stock companies and limited liability companies are to be increased. As per the “Amendment” that has published with the Official Gazette dated 26 November 2023 and numbered 32381, it has been stipulated that the Decree will come into force on the date of 01/01/2024.

In this context, the following has been decided to be applied as of the date of January 1st, 2024;

• For Joint Stock Companies:

– The minimum capital amount for joint stock companies which was stipulated as 50.000 Turkish Liras to be increased to 250.000 Turkish Liras,

– The minimum capital amount for non-public joint stock companies that has adopted the registered capital system which was stipulated as 100.000 Turkish Liras to be increased to 500.000 Turkish Liras.

• For Limited Liability Companies:

– The minimum capital amount for limited liability companies which was stipulated as 10.000 Turkish Liras to be increased to 50.000 Turkish Liras.

It is advised that one should take the minimum capital amounts to be revised for joint stock and limited liability companies into consideration as of the date of January 1st, 2024.
